Obscure horror/crime thriller both written and directed by Spanish horror legend Paul Naschy. This period piece is based on a true story. Set in Seville in the early 1900s it tells the exploits of a serial killer known as “the Frenchman”. Naschy stars as Juan – the owner of a off the beaten track inn that also offers women and gambling. Juan and his right-hand man make extra money by setting up clandestine meetings with prospective gamblers and then murdering them for their purse. The bodies are buried in his orchard but little do they know that their latest crime was witnessed. This is a fair quality print in Spanish with English subs.
