For 3 seasons Nintendo had an animated show on the air called Captain N: The Game Master, which centered on Captain N teaming up with Mega Man (sorta), Kid Icarus (kinda) and Simon Belmont to battle Mother Brain.

Mostly forgotten and relegated to a footnote in Nintendo’s history, the creation of the show is still disputed by some of the people involved.
