The History of Ulysses 31: A Worldwide Hit Barely Registered in the US

Back in the early 1980’s DIC partners with TMS to create an animated series based on Homer’s The Odyssey called Ulysses 31 for France.

Ulysses 31 was a big hit in France. And Japan. And Australia and a bunch of other countries.

But Ulysses 31 barely registered in the United States and slipped into obscurity.
