The Old Dark House (1932)

Seeking shelter from a storm, five travelers are in for a bizarre and terrifying night when the stumble upon the Femm family estate.

J B Priestley reckoned the film didn’t bear much resemblance to his novel ‘Benighted’. But with James (Frankenstein) Whale at the helm and a sterling cast from both sides of the Atlantic, the result was bound to be a crowd-pleaser. One of my favourites. Hope you like it.
